Amy K. Davis
A passion for representing those who go unheard
Amy Davis was raised in a small eastern Iowa town. After graduating from Solon High School, she attended college at Mt. Mercy College (now Mt. Mercy University) and earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, with minors in English and Psychology.
After living in Tampa, FL for more than a year, Amy returned to her Iowa roots. She moved to Des Moines and began working for a large law firm. Her experiences there convinced her she should attend law school. During law school, Amy clerked in a variety of different practice areas, including social security disability and worker’s compensation. Amy graduated from Drake University Law School in 2011.
Prior to joining the firm, Amy held a variety of positions in the Des Moines metro area. Most recently, she successfully operated a general practice firm, with offices in Des Moines. She practiced throughout the State of Iowa, traveling to attend hearings and meet with clients in their homes outside the metro area.
Amy has been an active volunteer in the community, and served as Secretary on the Board of Directors for Ballet Des Moines. In addition, Amy has served as President of the Board for the Iowa Bar Review School, as well as chaired the CLE Committee. A lifelong love of animals has led to volunteering as a foster home for Illinois English Bulldog Rescue. Amy and her husband, a Norwalk native, live in West Des Moines with their 3 dogs, and they enjoy live music events, CrossFit, and spending time with family.
